Let Them Come

They lined the streets to see Jesus,
Seeking just a touch from His hand.
They were the hurting and the lonely,
Forgotten children of the land.

They were met by the disciples,
And told to go away.
Jesus was very busy.
There was no time for them that day

But Jesus said, "Let them come.
Let the little children come
Let them come.  Let them come,
Let them come unto me."

Once again they come to see Jesus,
Seeking just a touch from His hand.
They are the hurting and the lonely,
Forgotten children of the land.

They cannot reach Him though,
Because we stand in the way
We say that we love them as He does,
Yet have no time for them each day.

Yet Jesus says, "Let them come.
Let the little children come
Let them come.  Let them come,
Let them come unto me."

We must reach out to the children.
And stand with arms open wide.
For it was for these very little ones
He stretched out His Hands and died.

For Jesus says, "Let them come.
Let the little children come
Let them come.  Let them come,
Let them come unto me."
